Healthy masculinity will prevent violence

I am looking forward to the Healthy Masculinity Summit on October 17-19, 2012 in Washington DC. Hundreds of advocates will gather to explore how to create a world with masculinities that support men being strong without being violent.

Anthony Llompart from the Verizon Foundation, a sponsor of the Healthy Masculinity Action Preoject, says,

We are delighted that organizations like Men Can Stop Rape are educating men and boys on healthy masculinity and relationships so that our communities – and those who live in them – can continue to thrive. Together we – men and women – can help end domestic violence.

PreventConnect will be covering the conference with podcasts, tweets and blogs. (Listen to our podcast about the summit with Shelley Serdahely of Men Stopping Violence and Pat McGann of Men Can Stop Rape.)

Registration ends October 7 so sign up now.
