Messenger Matters: Building a partnership for prevention with champion bar owners
Preventing sexual and intimate partner violence isn’t confined to those who have prevention-focused careers or community roles. Kevin Duffy is a Midwest bar-owner who sought out sexual and intimate partner violence prevention trainings for his bar staff. This began a partnership with MOCSA, the Metropolitan Organization to Counter Sexual Assault, where Haleigh Harrold joined Kevin to change the culture of his bars to promote a safe and fun environment in his establishments.
This conversations continues on part 2 of this podcast, where Kevin and Haleigh discuss the role of bar owners setting the stage for prevention with their employees and patrons.
