This web conference is intended for those new to primary prevention, including partners and stakeholders.
Primary prevention of sexual and intimate partner violence can be a complex field filled with technical language, jargon, and acronyms. At the core, though, it means stopping violence before it ever has a chance to happen. This web conference will go back to basics and provide a foundation for understanding the importance of primary prevention, examples of prevention in the real world, and key resources to expand prevention knowledge. Join PreventConnect as we leave the jargon behind and explore in plain language what it means to prevent violence in the first place.
OBJECTIVES:
- Define primary prevention
- Describe examples of prevention in the real world
- Identify resources to expand prevention knowledge
HOSTS/FACILITATORS: Ashleigh Klein-Jimenez & Tori VandeLinde, PreventConnect and CALCASA
MATERIALS:
