Twenty years after it was first published, this book is a guide for adutls who work with teens on topics related to social justice. Many sexual violence and domestic violence prevention practitioners use these activities and appraoches to ground their prevention work. Roots of Change: Men, Sex and Justice addressed a broad range of issues pertaining to men, masculinity and the prevention of sexual violence, with an emphasis on addressing the root causes in order to prevent sexual violence before it occurs. Workshops addressed the interrelated factors that influence sexual violence, the development and implementation of effective programs, current research in sexual violence prevention and healthy sexuality promotion, and gender equity as it relates to sexual violence. PreventConnect is pleased to be a co-sponsor of the 2011 Roots of Change Conference to be held in Portland on Nov. 2-4, 2011. |
