Voice Male: a voice of men taking a stand against violence
The Winter 2011 issue of Voice Male just came out. Once again I find this quarterly magazine so helpful as it provides a voice of profeminist men taking action to prevent men’s violence against women and move away from rigid gender roles. Highlights of this issue include “10 Things Men and Boys Can Do to Stop Human Traffficking” by Jewel Woods; Michael Kimmel’s reflection on the Yale fraternity’s “No Means Yes” chant, and Michael Flood’s summary of the Australian report Where Men Stand: Men’s Roles in Ending Violence Against Women.
