Web Conference Guidelines

PreventConnect is a community dedicated to advancing the prevention of sexual violence, domestic violence and teen dating violence. We encourage participants in PreventConnect web conferences to be active in text chats, share resources and communicate productively with other participants. We also ask participants to practice good web conference etiquette, such as keeping personal communication in private chat messages, refraining from advertising commercial products or services, and in general engaging in respectful communication with all participants. If a participant in a web conference is distracting or disruptive, a PreventConnect staff person will contact that participant in a private chat message. PreventConnect staff may also remove a disruptive participant from a web conference session in order to create a productive learning environment for as many participants as possible.
