Fostering healthy communities through collaboration across social justice movements
Collaborating across social justice movements is a crucial element in preventing domestic violence. On October 13, 2015 PreventConnect participated in a Twitter chat hosted by the National Resource Center on Domestic Violence (NRCDV) where activists from leading social justice organizations discussed the value of partnerships and the importance of addressing the intersectionality of oppressions to effectively prevent gender-based violence. Many of us are working towards the common goal of fostering healthy communities.
Building a movement to end gender-based violence and oppression in all its forms requires partnerships and collaborations. As many chat participants pointed out, we are stronger together. If you missed the chat, you can read the tweets here.
