Collaborating for Success: Promoting Innovation and Equity Through Multi-Sector Partnerships
This three part series will focus on challenges and solutions for multi-sector sexual and domestic violence prevention work. Using a peer consultancy model, each session will involve a peer who will share a success and/or challenge, and pre-identified peer consultants who will encourage reflective learning through supportive listening and asking powerful questions. Participants will also engage with the content through text chat discussions. For each session, with support from a graphic recorder, we will explore the topics identified (the what), implications for partnerships (the who) and practical strategies to design high impact multi-sector efforts and navigate the challenges that emerge (the how).
•August 11th: Equity Considerations in Multi-Sector Collaboration
•August 25th: The topic will be identified after the first and second sessions have been completed, to address emergent questions and areas of interest.
Learning objectives:
•Leverage participants’ practice-based wisdom to build a learning community
•Explore how to balance creative risk-taking in multi-sector partnerships with the reality of needing to show outcomes
•Explore considerations of equity in multi-sector partnerships: whom we partner with (and perhaps don’t partner with), how we partner, and toward what ends.
