Ignite Talk: Movement Building and the Prevention of Sexual Violence

Prior to the 2016 National Sexual Assault Conference in Washington, D.C., the National Sexual Violence Resource Center hosted the 2016 RPE Leadership Training. Ignite Talks sparked important conversations about advancing our prevention work. 

In this talk from the 2016 RPE Leadership Training, David Lee of the California Coalition Against Sexual Assault and PreventConnect examines how tools from movement building can support the work to prevent sexual violence and highlights how movement building aligns with public health concepts used in the RPE program.  David shares from his experiencea on how public health prevention efforts to prevent sexual violence align with the pivots from Move to End Violence of being Proactive, being Interconnected, and promoting Social Change.
