Living Wages: Advancing Equity in Our Organizations

 

Sometimes our organizations can replicate the systems of oppression that we are trying to end in our efforts to prevent sexual violence. This workshop will highlight how one organization made changes to internal policies and practices to better reflect the world we are trying to create. Join us for an exploration of your personal values, organizational values, and how we can champion living wages within our movements.

This session is part of the Prevention track at the 2021 National Sexual Assault Conference sponsored by the National Sexual Violence Resource Center with funding from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.  The workshops offered in the Prevention track support prevention practitioners and advocates in examining, evaluating, and implementing processes to advance equity within and through our organizations.
