Prevention Town Hall: Identifying Solutions to School-Based Prevention Programming Resistance

This web conference brought together experts from across the anti-sexual violence field and intersecting movements, to talk about how current socio-political climates are impacting school-based prevention, and what they’re doing to navigate challenges and barriers reaching youth.

Health Equity in Practice Pt. 1: How social justice issues connect to sexual violence prevention

This web conference brought together experts from across the anti-sexual violence field and intersecting movements, to talk about how social issues like anti-Black and anti-Trans policies are connected to sexual violence prevention. The session covered foundations in Health Equity and anti-oppression, and featured a panel discussion on intersectionality.

This web conference provided a 101 foundation for understanding the importance of creating environments where violence is less likely to happen, examples of prevention in the real world, and key resources to expand prevention knowledge.

Integrating Health Equity Into Sexual and Domestic Violence Prevention: Key Concepts and Components of Strategies and Approaches

This web conference explored health equity in sexual and intimate partner violence prevention practice. Prevention practitioners and public health experts from Kansas discussed how the core components of a prevention strategy, including how the strategy is designed and the key messages of the strategy, can be a starting point for integrating health equity into violence prevention work.

This web conference features guest speakers from the Ohio Alliance to End Sexual Violence (OAESV,) and explores how health disparities based on identity are created  and what role our work in the movement to end sexual violence plays in perpetuating or opposing racism.
