Celebrating CDC’s DELTA Project Throughout the Years

Recently, the PreventConnect team attended CDC’s DELTA AHEAD recipient meeting, a gathering that brought together leaders and practitioners dedicated to advancing intimate partner violence (IPV) prevention. This meeting served as an opportunity to celebrate the evolution of the DELTA project, while also highlighting the innovative and impactful work being carried out by current DELTA AHEAD recipients.

During the meeting, PreventConnect presented on the rich history of the DELTA project. Our presentation took participants on a journey through the various phases of DELTA, from its early beginnings to the current DELTA AHEAD project. We emphasized how each iteration of the project has built upon the last, continually pushing the boundaries of community-level prevention strategies and shaping the broader field of IPV prevention.

The presentation was not only a reflection on the past but also a celebration of the progress that has been made. We highlighted the crucial role that State Domestic Violence Coalitions have played in implementing innovative prevention strategies at the community and societal levels. It was a true celebration of the successes and lessons learned from over two decades of DELTA work.
